How do I setup Outlook Express to access my Coolhandle email?

If you have not already done so, you will need to first setup the email address using your Coolhandle control panel. Once you have completed this step, return back to this FAQ.

1. Open Outlook Express. In the menu bar, click “Tools” then “Accounts…”.

2. On the next screen, click the “Add” button and select “Mail…”. Click the “Next” button.

3. On the next screen, enter in your display name (not your email address) and click the “Next” button.

4. On the next screen, enter in your email address. Click the “Next” button.

5. On the next screen, Choose POP3 from the drop down menu as the incoming mail server type. Enter “mail.coolhandle.com” as both the incoming POP3 and the outgoing SMTP server. Click the “Next” button.

If you are having issues with sending mail. You may need to use your local ISP’s SMTP server. Contact them to get this setting.

6. Change your “Account name:” to your full email address. Enter in your password. Click the “Next” button.

7. You should see the Congratulations screen. You’re done! Click the “Finish” button.

8. Now click the “Close” button on the Internet Accounts screen to return to Outlook Express and start using your new email address.
